Swing Central is an annual swing dancing and social event, this year featuring Champaign Central's three jazz bands plus Edison Middle School Jazz Band 1. An appetizer buffet and cash bar are part of this event. The evening concludes with a special performance by our headline band: Bruiser and the Virtues.

Ticket Prices

Adult tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
Student tickets: $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
For advanced tickets, please use the form at the right.
Advanced ticket deadline: February 25th, 2011.
Reserved seating and tickets for a table of eight are available for $200.00.

Advance Ticket Payment Instructions

Advance tickets may be purchased using student credits, by sending a check, or with a credit card using PayPal. For the PayPal credit card option we ask that you add $3 to your payment to cover the transaction fees, so for a pair of tickets that would cost $40, we ask that you pay $43 when using this option. PayPal does not require you to deposit any funds into a PayPal account. Instead, PayPal allows you to enter a credit card payment and arranges for the boosters to receive the funds from the credit card payment. In the process of doing this, you will need to create an authentication account at PayPal that includes your e-mail, address and a phone number, as follows:
  1. Go to www.paypal.com. (Clicking on link will open a new window.)
  2. Set up an account if you don't already have one. See the "How it Works" section for more instructions. This account is just used for authentication to make sure you are the owner of your credit card.
  3. You will receive an e-mail asking to confirm that your account has been created. Click on the link in the e-mail to confirm your account information.
  4. Log in, click the "personal" tab and then the "send money" tab.
  5. Fill out the form, entering "treasurer.maroonbands@gmail.com" in the "To" box, and the amount plus $3 in the "Amount" box.
  6. Choose the "personal" tab and select "payment owed."
  7. Hit "send" and the payment should occur.
  8. Breathe.
