Champaign Central Marching Maroons 2010

Summer Rehearsals:
* Full Band (all instrumentalists) Rehearsals 6-7:30 are held in the CHS Band Room on:
Tues. July 6, Mon. July 19, Tues. July 20, Mon. Aug 2 & Tues. Aug 3.
* Color Guard Rehearsals will be Tuesday evenings in the summer beginning June 8.  Rehearsals are 6-9 p.m. at CHS.  Report to the band room.
* Additional Percussion Rehearsals will be scheduled based on student schedules. You will be notified of these dates via email or direct communication from the percussion instructors.
* Absences from summer rehearsals, not camps are excused if they are vacation or camp related.  Please re-arrange work commitments to be at rehearsals.


Percussion Camp: (drumline & pit)  is  August 2-6 at Central High School.   9:00 a.m. to noon.

Band Camp: August 8-13, 2010

6:00 p.m.     Orientation Meeting For All Parents & Students - Decker Theater
6:30 p.m.     Full Band Rehearsal

*9:00-12:30 Full Rehearsal   
12:30-2:00   Lunch Break
2:00-5:30     Full Rehearsal
*Wednesday 8:00 a.m. Marching band individual and group Photo at Centennial - FULL UNIFORM REQUIRED
Friday, August 13 (At Cenntennial - Field at corner of Crescent and John)
9:00-12:30    Full Rehearsal
12:30-2:00    Lunch Break
2:00-3:30      Rehearsal
5:00-6:30      Family Meal at Centennial Field
5:30              Students warm-up on field

Band Camp General Information:
*Attendance at band camp is very important.  It is mandatory for all Marching Band Members.  Please try to avoid scheduling conflicts. 
*We need donations of water and snacks for band camp.  Anything healthy is fine.  You can bring donations directly to the practice field Mon. through Thurs.
*All students need to have:  a 3-ring binder with 50 sheet protectors, hat, sunscreen, water cooler, athletic style shoes - NO SANDALS, comfortable clothing, pencils & a highlighter.

Lastly... Our marching band show this year is "All The King's Men."  It is a chess theme and what we have seen so far is REALLY awesome!
